CD Duplication is the process of transferring digital information onto blank DVD-R directly from a CD-R source. It is also known as CD burning or CD copying.

The end result of CD duplication is a disc which performs in exactly the same way as the original or master disc.

Generally duplication is quicker and more appropriate for smaller to medium sized projects.

For larger runs it may be better to replicate (CD replication) rather than duplicate.
